Dr. Eugenie Kayitesi (PhD) currently works at the Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology as Deputy Head of Department, University of Johannesburg. Dr. Eugenie does research in Food Science and Technology. Her research interest is in food and nutrition security in Africa with emphasis on research into nutritional and sensory quality of crops that are underutilized and indigenous to Africa (especially cereals and legumes). Exploration of the antioxidant potential of phytochemicals in plant foods, as well as studying the integrity and transformation of polyphenols in foods during processing and then use of emerging food processing technologies (e.g. micronisation, irradiation) to improve functional, nutritional and sensory quality of foods is another area of interest. She has a PhD Food Science (University of Pretoria), MSc (Agric) Food Science and Technology (University of Pretoria) and BSc Food Science and Technology (KIST/Rwanda)

Richard RUTAYISIRE (MBA), Managing Director at Vision Garment Ltd, a company he nurtured from its inception to its existence! He was the Resource Mobilization and Administration Expert at Local Governance Institute (LGI) and was Manager to LG Consult Ltd, Board Member to Rwanda Agriculture Board and a visiting lecturer at Independent University of Kigali in the faculty of Economics and Business studies holds MBA from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands, Bsc. Accounting Sciences and Diploma in Public Finance and Debt Management. He has worked for RALGA, Crystal Ventures Ltd, and AJPRODHO before in the areas of finance, business development, business analysis and administration. He’s much into Business and Management Consulting, and much interested in the areas of Business Organizations’ survival / failure, firm’s growth, financial and accounting systems, business performance, strategic planning and budgeting, strategic management and Organizational development, human capital development and strategic marketing. He has consulted in different areas including gender budgeting, business plan development, graduate tracer studies, perception surveys, public expenditure, human resources including recruitment, assessments, surveys etc….He has published and co-authored 2 books to his credit, policy papers, academic papers, conference papers and some articles published in local journals. He has for long time occupied managerial and supervisory positions.

Dr Muhire Karama have a Master of Medicine degree (MMed) in Ophthalmology from Pretoria University, and a Medical Degree (MD) from the National University of Rwanda. He is a member of the Rwanda Medical and Dental Council (RMDC) and a member of the Rwanda Ophthalmologist Society (ROS). He served as senior consultant Ophthalmologist in Ruhengeri referral Hospital, Musanze District, Northern Province, Rwanda.  During his service, he was able to improve a clinic with 1 room to a Department of Ophthalmology and a Vision Center with 14 rooms plus a functional theater in Ruhengeri referral Hospital. He started hospital based ophthalmic surgeries; dispensing of eye glasses and supported outreach activities for the Northern Province of Rwanda and recognized by the Rwandan Biomedical Center (RBC) and The Fred Hollows Foundation Rwanda to be the department of Ophthalmology which showed tremendous improvement in 2015 and therefore the World Sight Day 2015 was celebrated at the national level in Ruhengeri referral Hospital. From 2009-2013 he served in South Africa Cataract outreach activities program in the Northern Cape, the North West and Limpopo Provinces with the University of Pretoria and the South African National Council for the Blind (SANCB):

MUSANABERA Annet,
Programs Manager

A Rwandan young professional with over 5 years of working experiences in different area with more specialization in management, child protection and child rights both in Non-governmental organizations and corporate private’s institutions an oriented professional with expertise in recruitment, staffing, people management and possesses many years of experience dealing with child protection related issues. Before joining HERO Rwanda, she served as programs coordinator with African Evangelistic Enterprise Rwanda (AEE) at Mahama Camp, and she worked as Case Worker Management Officer with Save the Children-Rwanda.

 

BAZIZANE Christine,
Finance Manage

A Rwandan young graduate in Finance from University of Rwanda, served as Customer care executive at iSON BPO and in SFH Rwanda in finance department. She also worked different programs in the SFH Southern Regional Office. Christine gained more skills in report writing of both writing financial and narrative reports, Christine is a well-organized person with excellent record of performance; the integrity is among her driving core values.
