Mission
Background
Health Equity and Rights Organization-Rwanda (HERO) is non-governmental, non-profit organization and independent based in Nyamata, Bugesera and with another Office in Kicukiro-Kigali Rwanda. HERO work to improve both the equity and accessibility of healthcare for all through education, social behavior change communications (SBCC) and other community based interventions. HERO was founded in 2014 by a committed and a dedicated group of Rwandan working in development sector, academics and different health sector across Rwanda and abroad.
HERO works with health experts, governments and community leaders to provide high-quality health care for their people and develops strategies to help people care for themselves by training competent health care workers, strengthening health systems and improving delivery of care and community based interventions (CBI)
HERO and its partner’s uses it members knowledge and experience to designs innovative, effective and low-cost health care solutions to ensure a level of care for women and their families, it empower individuals with tools and knowledge to advance the health of their communities.
